Sneak Peek February Memory Box Class

I hope you guys like the memory, photo box I have planned for my Class in February. I have not come up with a good name for the classes I offer out side of the monthly Workshops. So for now they are classes, very original I know. :0)

This is Halloween-Mini album

This is the project I created for my local scrapbook store. Heart felt creations! They have an amazing selection of paper and all the goodies and embellishments you could possible want. I recently purchased the "glowing" paper line from Authentique. It is their Halloween collection and I love it! I created a huge (9inx9in) photo album. It is on display at the store right now so if you are in the area stop by and check it out!
This album has lots tags and room for pictures, the folding photo mats are alot of fun. Check out the store on their youtube channel where I have uploaded a video of the album as well. Happy Halloween my Crafty Friends!

Hello everyone. I wanted to share with you a little about the changes you will see in the brand new idea book. First of all the book is still jam packed with ideas. There are more photos, projects and larger pictures it is amazing!
You will notice a few Great new improvements.

I am so excited to share with you guys my exciting news. I am over the moon with joy right now! I took a chance and set a goal along with my sissy Gloria, to take a few of our projects to our local scrapbook store. They have been looking for a design team and I was nervous about showing my work but.........Vicki over at Heartfelt Creations was so so sweet. I am now a member of their design team! YAY!

I have been a pretty faithful shopper at the store and have taken a few Classes. I am excited to get things rolling I have so many ideas right now that I am going to have to write them all down or inevitably....I will forget.
I will be posting a few more YT videos soon. Thanks for following me on this fun new journey.

Hi everyone. We have had a lot of snow lately and it has been cold and I have been thankful to not have to travel to work. I mean unless you count from my bedroom to the computer a commute! (some days it is believe me! :-)
I hope you all had a fun black Friday. I was surprised with my Christmas present on Thanksgiving! My sweet husband bought me a brand new video Camera YAY!! it is a Sony handi cam and starting on day 6 I will be using it. I haven't figured out all the bells and whistles it has and I am not sure I ever will but I need to be able to at least load to Youtube. That is my goal for the week.

Ok so I just noticed the other day that a radio station here town is already playing Christmas music. I could not believe it. That reminded me that I have a fun project to post. So with out further Adieu...........I am so happy to announce this is day 1 of my 2nd annual 12 days of Christmas cards. This series was such a fun one last year, i just had to do it. Mommy & Me class, School shopping for Accessories

Ok so here it is August and it is time for school shopping again. I am torn between being sad to see my kids go off to school and Happy that they will finally be going back to some structure!
So while we were out shopping my daughter fell in love with some t-shirts and hair thingys at a place called Justice. And after I looked at the price and picked up my jaw off the ground I proceeded to explain to her that at her young age of 6 she was going to have to realize that mommy is in no way no how made of $$$$ and like me when I was a kid, we were going to have to do without the Name brand stuff. But she was lucky because unlike me, her momma was Crafty! and we were going to MAKE that cute t-shirt and those hair thingys OURSELVES. I was a hero today. My daughter and i have been crafting away for the last couple of hours. Here are the hair thingy's and i will add photos of the t-shirts as soon as I can. A reminder some of these flowers shown will be the ones we create at our mommy & Me class this month. Let me know what you think.

Heart 2 Heart challenges

I am playing along this week in the heart 2 heart challenge. I found this blog last week and was so excited for it to start. This is Challenge #1, check them out at Heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com The colors are sunflower, sweet leaf and chocolate. I used a purse card shape for my base. Sponged the base in Sunflower. Used the so happy stamp set (included in the Tickled Pink paper pack) the flower was stamped in sweet leaf. Added a colonial white flower, That I glimmer misted with Marshmallow glimmermist. A chocolate brad and chocolate ribbon for the handle. I made a video of the process but I am having a few issues with it. Hopefully that will be up shortly. Let me know what you think.

First workshop of 2010

The first workshop of 2010 was so much fun. Thanks to all the ladies who attended for all the fun and laughs. We had so much fun I thought I would share with you the cute layout and valentines card we created.

I was so happy with the outcome. I also issued a challenge to all the ladies who came last night. A challenge I like to call OH scrap!
They all got to pick 3 pieces of paper from my scrap folder. The challenge was to create a layout, altered item, tag, bookmark whatever you want, using those 3 scraps of paper. The prize will be a cute little embellishment gift. It was interesting to see how everyone choose there scraps. So I am joining in with you on the challenge I will post my 3 pieces of scraps along with my finished item as well as the prize in a few days. Hi there everyone! This past weekend I decided to Clean out my scraping space. I was up until very late on Friday working on this mini album. I challenged myself to use only items I had on hand and to use as many of them as I could. I have found that since starting Close to My heart I have Collected even more stuff than before. It is amazing the incredible things I have found in my "stash" I am going to be doing a few videos coming up of Altered items, cards and layouts using only scraps so be on the look out for those. In the mean time Hope you enjoy my latest video. P.s. Workshop is this Thursday night.

Hello all i just wanted to do a quick update on the card contest. I know it is late but am waiting for a few participants to get me their photo. Hello Everyone! I wanted to thank all of you, who came to workshop last Night. Gloria was the only one who brought a previous workshop layout all completed and she walked away with a great Prize. Plus she was the first to show up so another fun prize for her. Laura was the first to RSVP so she got a prize. I had such a great time giving away things, I think I will try it again. Ok so onto other business. I am posting Photos of the items I created for a swap with other CTMH Consultants. I hope you guys like them they are all ready to go in the mail but I thought I would share some photos. I loved this swap it really challenged my Creativity since I was not sure what my paper packet was going to look like. When the new Idea book was released I was pleasantly surprised with the Grace paper Packet, such beautiful colors and the stamp sets to go with it are adorable.
